Jamiah Dancil is a multifaceted actress, writer, director, and producer, originally from Saint Petersburg, Florida, and now based in El Paso, Texas.
She gained widespread recognition for her award-winning short film The Reflection, which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. Jamiah also produced and starred in the short film Black Magic. Her first feature film, Clutch, which she both starred in and produced, is set for release in 2024 under Maverick Entertainment.
Jamiah had a recurring role as Yanza in the CW television series Dolos, which aired in the El Paso/Las Cruces region. She has also appeared in notable projects including Hulu’s Dopesick, Wanted Man, The Colored Museum, and Viva El Paso. She recently wrapped her role in the feature film Blowback, which is currently in production. Additionally, Jamiah directed, produced, and wrote the short film Intersected, which premiered at the El Paso Film Festival in 2023.
Constantly striving to refine her craft, she trained at Heidi Marshall Studios and continues to push her creative boundaries through ongoing study and performance.
